Geography & Population
France is the second largest country in Europe, with a population of approx 61 million. It is 212,935 square miles in size. France borders Bay of Biscay and English Channel, between Belgium and Spain and is southeast of the UK. France also borders the Mediterranean Sea, between Italy and Spain. The Capital city is Paris which has a population of 8.7 million inhabitants and has 3,427km of coastline.
Climate
The south has a climate of long and hot summers (Apr - Oct) and cool, but not cold winters. The west is cooler than the south but still sunny and is often windy.
